Greg’s daily prayer…
“Lord, take us where you want us to go,
to meet the people you want us to meet,
to have the conversations you want us to have.”
Our thoughts yesterday... “Barkley and Patty.”
God’s answer yesterday, “Larry, Bruce, Anitra, Lynn, John, GMO, Patricia and Helen.”
We never know where or who or what conversations will come from Greg’s daily prayer (clarification, God’s answer to that prayer.) Yesterday was an example of God’s answer. We don't have the ability to divinely orchestrate our days and moments. It’s not the prayer that’s magical. Rather, it is a prayer of submission or obedience to follow and acknowledge, each moment has God’s fingerprints.
Yesterday, though not what we had planned, was incredibly encouraging. We were blessed by hugs, encouraging words, food and prayer. We are honored knowing God has prepared good works for His children. Yesterday, we felt His divine comfort in these friends. They represented God’s smile and answer to Greg’s earlier prayer.
You see, Greg’s prayer keeps us aware of what we may need to “do” but it also makes us aware of God raising up others who will love us well. You who read this have been and are a part of our seeing and knowing God’s care and smile. Thank you for being strong for us. As one friend said yesterday, “we are holding up your arms in this battle.” We are very encouraged by your care. Thank you!
Greg continues to feel well enough to get out, though he fights the temptation to sleep during the day. We are very grateful his night time sleep has improved. Greg will start back to physical therapy next week, and on the 22nd he will begin his 10th cycle of chemotherapy.
And tomorrow…we will pray the same prayer, the prayer of submission.. Watching, waiting, expecting God to lead us to opportunities to do the good works He prepared for us in advance. Watching, waiting, expecting God to be God, hearing our prayers, to lead us where He wants us to go, to meet the people He wants us to meet, to have the conversations He wants us to have.

Keep fighting, keep praying, keep praising Him in the midst of the storm. Praying for the Lord to strengthen you and allow you to shine for His glory. God bless you both! 2 Corinthians 12:9
