What do you want to be remembered for?
A question we should consider while we have time.
It's been a sad and intense season of grief in our nation this past week. Regardless of your beliefs, losing Charlie Kirk was an absolute tragedy, and our country was rocked to the core.
As Joannie and I sat and watched the “Celebration of Charlie’s Life” it was evident that this one man, although just 31 years old, had influenced our culture like few others. I honestly don’t know that much about him, but I was wowed at how many others were influenced by his teaching and his commitment to his personal mission. If you ask any of the gathered thousands, to describe Charlie the response woud be, "Driven" “Focusedl” “Devoted” “ A man in search of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
Here's what's happening here. This month I reached the one year mark for battling brain cancer! Praise God! I start my tenth round of Chemo tonight
( Tuesday the 23rd Happy Birthday Mom). LOTS of doctors appointments these days and trying to get back in with PT folks. They are awesome.
Joannie is a fantastic support and a true inspiration to me.
Again the doctors reminded me, most who fight this type of cancer never see the one year mark. God in His grace has granted me a year of life for His glory and His purposes. I did have a fall, loosing my balance on the Grandkids soccer field.
Hit my head on the ground. I'm grateful to have survived the fall
Having had plenty of time to consider my own life, I’m asking myself, “how do I want to be remembered?” I’m no Charlie, but God is not asking me to be anyone else but ME! The scriptures say I am to follow the example of Jesus. He is my focus!
So then what “faith Footprints” do I want to leave when my time does come?
Is my love for Jesus attractive to believers AND unbelievers. How can I start now to surrender whatever may be interfering with my witness.
This week I want to encourage you to answer this question yourself. Once you land on your answer, talk to GOD about it! Ask HIM for the courage to change!

Hope/pray you’ll do well through these next rounds of chemo. Please tell Joanie we appreciate how much she means to you, how much she helps you.
Hang in there!

A great question to reflect on... daily. I think of Mother Teresa of Calcutta... when I think of her, I see Christ.

When I read that you have fallen, I rejoice that you got up again. God is not finished with any of us until that numbered day. One day we will not get up, but until that day, by the power of the Living God we have purpose to tell His story with all that is within us. I celebrate you and I am always encouraged to be a small part of your journey. Happy Birthday to Mrs. G!
