It was a year ago, Aug 25 ,2024, when the diagnosis was given and we were told I had cancer spots on my brain. This past week I had an MRI at Duke Medical. The next day we met with the doctors who informed us that all of the tumors have either shrunk or have stabilized. The doctors are incredibly encouraged by the response of tumors to the chemotherapy.
As the doctors reviewed my progress in several areas, we were quick to point out, that there is ONE who is making this healing happen. Our praise is to HIM. HE gets the glory. Yes, we are grateful for doctors, hospitals, and medicine... but THE HEALER is Jesus Christ our Savior.
As Joannie and I were leaving Duke hospital after our appointment, something quite inspiring happened. Right in front of the hospital we are waiting on the Valet to get our vehicle along with a large group of people. In front of us was a older couple who seemed
eager to say something. After a few minutes, the lady turned around to face the crowd and said, "Hey everybody, I'm standing here today to tell you my husband is cancer free!!!!" She was bursting with good news! (The husband seemed a little less ready to go public)
I expressed our congratulations and was inspired by the wife's boldness. It honestly made me think about my own boldness, or lack of, in sharing THE Good News. The Good News is just that...GOOD NEWS! But honestly at times I get distracted and forget. The Word of God tells us we are His representatives and we have a message to share, and its GOOD. (For more ,read 2 Corinthians chapter 5)
We don't have to yell it out on the street, even though some do. We should look closely at our circumstances and determine how we can use our story to highlight HIS STORY FOR HIS GLORY!
This chapter we are in has been a tough one for the Anderson family. However, it has created so many opportunities to speak to people about where our HOPE comes from. I'm asking The Lord for more days to serve Him and to point others to Jesus. Please keep us in your prayers! Thanks for your partnership in this battle!

You’re right about using opportunities to share the truth there is in Christ. I needed that reminder.
We are praying that the regimen you’re on will continue to yield improvements and that the next report in three months will continue the upward trend.
Thank you for your generosity today.
God bless.
