Greg and I have been given such thoughtful gifts over the last 18 months. We now have a couple of wonderful devotionals. One of which is written by a long time, multiple survivor of cancer. Two of our favorite take-aways from this particular devotional is:
1. When someone begins their story of cancer, we have been given permission to ask, “Does this story have a happy ending? If not, we can't listen to it.” and
2. Set Goals.
The author challenged us to set goals…her suggestions for goals included, “attend your child’s high school graduation,” “plan a bucket list trip,” “see your next grandchild be born,” “plan the next holiday.”
And so it is….Goals!
Greg will tell you, when he was diagnosed in August 2024 with this rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, his goal was to make it to Thanksgiving (2024) and then it was Christmas (2024) and then to his birthday (2025.) Clearly as you have joined us in this journey as you have prayed for God’s Will, God’s glory and a revival…God continues to make our goals a reality…

Including….February 28, 2026…Greg is having his second birthday since his diagnosis!! We are beyond ecstatic to celebrate him….celebrating the miracle of him…celebrating the miracles associated with this goal of another birthday….celebrating YOU for your faithfulness to believe GOD IS ABLE…HE DOES MIRACLES…HE WILL HAVE HIS WAY…HE WILL GET ALL THE GLORY…
Our move “HOME” has been just that! We continue to stand in awe at the new medical team the Lord already had lined up. We did so love the medical team in South Florida, and yet, God’s goal was to bring us another incredible line up of doctors and their associates.
I watch daily as Greg’s goal is to find ways to share God’s love (WITH WORDS!!) Greg’s goals to share what a relationship with Christ looks like, extends to employees at restaurants, gas stations and stores. His goal isn’t to be “nice enough” so someone might ask, “why is he nice?” Greg’s goal is to share specifically, “God loves them…and wants a relationship with them.”
I tell you this (and the examples are DAILY)not to brag, but to share how your prayers are affecting us spiritually and others eternally. Greg’s last MRI in January read all tumors are stable. However, Greg has a sense of urgency. He says, if all of you and so many others are praying for health and length of his life, it isn’t simply for Greg to have more days, it’s for him to tell people about Jesus. Greg has told me multiple times, “if I wake up and just go to bed at night, but didn’t share the gospel, what was the purpose God had for me that day?”
As we celebrate with our family at his favorite restaurant and ice cream spot, the goal for Greg is so far bigger than living just another day. It is for him to be a good steward for eternity. Thank you for praying for this goal. You are all precious gifts and miracles to Greg and me! We believe Our Heavenly Father would hear your prayers and say, “Well done!”
