In most any battle, there's always a moment where progress is marked or recognized. Tonight is one of those special markers. I'm completing day 5 of a higher dose of chemotherapy.
My new chemotherapy cycles are 28 days: 5 days of the heavier dose of chemo, followed by 23 days of rest, then I repeat the cycle.Β Tonight I am celebrating the first 5 days of this treatment plan! At this time I'm very grateful to have made it through the "intensive" chemo, without any bad side effects!
I'm learning that one of the keys in staying strong in the fight, is celebrating the simple and sometimes small WINS. With these 5 days down, tonight is a celebration at our house! We are deeply thankful that this medication did not cause the forewarned anticipated negative side effects.
We truly believe that your prayers, and God's faithful grace, have brought on these small wins! We know that you appealing for us has produced positive results and small wins which have helped us to walk through this dark season.
The big win, we believe, will happen one day soon, but for now we are celebrating any and every win that moves us closer to complete healing.
