After a very positive and insightful trip to Duke University last week, we are now back in Florida and about to start our chapter; chemotherapy. This next phase of treatment will involve a higher dosage of chemo. Both doctors in FL and NC agree that they see the effectiveness of the treatment thus far. Obviously, we are elated to hear that news but realize The Great Physician is still doing more work, on His schedule. The tumors have not grown or spread and it appears the radiation has broken down the structure of the tumors. I’m sorry I can’t describe it better, but the docs say the radiation has done damage to the cancer!
As many of you are faithfully praying, here are a few specific things I would ask you to pray for:
· My mind and focus to be on Jesus, not my diagnosis or circumstances around me.
· The reduction of tumor cells and the complete restoration of healthy brain cells.
· The health and wellness of my sweet wife. Joannie is an amazing care giver, and she needs to be well to take care of herself and me.
· This holiday week my family will be gathering (and I’m guessing yours too.)
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are incredibly thankful for our family and each of our friends, who have chosen to pray and support us. We know God as our Great Physician and we know His people are being used to encourage us as you continue to love us well. THANK YOU!!!
