Being home is great! My lovely watch tells me I got a good 7 hours of rest, and I’m definitely grateful for that. ❤️
I think the adrenaline and excitement from the past week and a half must finally be starting to taper off. The reality of everything I’ve been through is settling in, and I’m taking things one day at a time.
Shout out to my hubby Alan of 28 years. He has been the calm in the storm. We slept apart for the first time in this house. We survived. He’s ensuring I stay hydrated, fed, medicated and moving. He ensures I stay connected and grounded. Beyond grateful he’s by my side.

Earlier this week, my dad shared this scripture with me:
Matthew 8:27
“What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
“What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
They were comfortable until the storm came.
But when Jesus began manifesting His power, they started to understand that this was no ordinary man. He was the Son of God, operating in a dimension far beyond their comprehension. They had underestimated the One they were following.
The storm came not only for Jesus to rebuke it, but to educate the disciples. Sometimes the storm is where we get to see His power on display in a way that we never could in the calm.
The real power doesn’t show in the quiet; it shows in the storm.
So today, I’m reminding myself: Keep your faith steady in the storm. 🌊🙏🏽
Day 3. Still here. Still grateful. Still trusting God. ❤️
Friends have been asking how they can help and support, and I’m so grateful for the love. As I continue to isolate due to the imbedded radiation, hearing from you via text has truly been wonderful. I’ve loved catching up on your lives—your families starting the school year, baby showers, pups, everyday moments—and it brings me so much joy. Thank you for including me and sharing with me.
If you’d like to support in a tangible way, your kindness and generosity can also be expressed by connecting with our local community friends:
Black Cat Coffee House ☕️
Give Tanya and the team a call and let them know that if we swing by for a chamomile or mint tea, it’s on you.

Pure Green Arcadia 🥤
Chas and the team will do the same for a protein shake or a bowl. They’re both just around the corner from us.

Thank you again for the love, prayers, and presence. It means more than I can say. ❤️
