Hi everyone,

The surgery went as expected, and the doctors are confident that the plan established prior to surgery will remain the course of treatment moving forward.

Sleep was pretty much nonexistent last night, as the medications kept me up. Thankfully, I’m still getting around well. Discharge papers are getting started so I expect to be home by lunchtime.

Our family is doing well. We’ll definitely miss being together with the girls and our in-laws for Sunday lunch over the next month, but we know that time will fly. In the meantime, we’ll stay connected with my parents, extended family, and friends through FaceTime, calls, and texts.

Again, we just want to express how overwhelmingly grateful we are to God for His love and mercy. We’re also incredibly thankful for our Bell Bank and Matson families. Both organizations have been so flexible and gracious throughout this journey, and their support and understanding have meant more to us than we can adequately express.

Lamentations 3:23 - “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness"

We feel very blessed and grateful to have so many wonderful people walking alongside us through this.

Those who would like to help the family can:
  1. Choose from Support Registry options
  2. ‘Share’ to Spread the Word to family and friends
  3. ‘Follow’ Updates to stay informed
  4. While we are thankful for the site and the broad audience it can reach we want close personal contacts to know that how you’ve supported before is completely acceptable and appreciated - door dash gift card, Amazon, frozen meals, etc.
  5. Share an encouraging message.
  6. Walk away with a happy heart! Count your blessings and know the little things make the biggest difference. Have a beautiful blessed day!
  7. We love you.

Thank you.

Grateful, thankful, blessed,
Gomez Family

For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. 6 Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming, but also by the [a]consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.2Cor.7.7-10.
