Since my initial hospital update, a second bacteria was found in my blood. The last few days have been a flurry of tests and treatments and my blood counts are finally stable, my blood cultures look good, and we are making plans for my discharge!
Arrangements are in progress to leave the hospital tomorrow morning after my 10AM antibiotic IV. A home health care agency will assist me in managing my IVs tomorrow through December 8, when my course of treatment should be completed.
