Short update for tonight 7/10:
The day started pretty rough. He was super uncomfortable all night last night. Having some thermoregulation issues which are very common with spinal cord injuries. Very little sleep overnight last night so then he was exhausted and slept for a lot of the day. He had a bad headache that we couldn’t get rid of for most of the afternoon. No PT/OT because he wasn’t feeling well.
He had a friend come visit this afternoon and it turned his day around! He has been in good spirits tonight!
They will start weaning the BP medicine at midnight. They pulled the drain today.
There is a possibility they will move him out of ICU and to the regular floor tomorrow.
We know there are going to be hard days mixed into good days. Super thankful the end of the day was good and he was back to his normal self.
Praising God for that!

We’ve been through a different kind of experience that involved months of recovery. It was two steps forward, one step backward, long stretches of endurance… until we finally reached a point of healing. This is a marathon, and it helps to have people cheering you on. Thanks for the update. It reminds us to pray without ceasing.

I know people are praying everywhere, and we are here in Tulsa, too. I’ve shared with many friends and family who are praying, also. God is faithful through everything! I remember your beautiful bar mitzvah. What an amazing young man you are!

Many prayers coming from Oregon. We know Hashem will heal you! When He does, plan a hiking trip to Oregon. We will show you the Redwood Forest that is home to the tallest trees in the world. Some are 382 feet tall and are over 800 years old. Many blessings!!!

Gabe I consider your Uncle D to be my Rabbi. His live teaching today spoke about your injury. My grandmother’s heart goes out to you. I have a great empathy for you and can relate to some of the physical pain you are experiencing. I had a neck injury from a fall from a trapeze swing when I was 14 years old. I pray for you often every day. May our great God completely heal you quickly. May you have great strength and stamina to do the therapies. You are so very strong and determined it is a great witness to your peers and everyone else as well, my self included. May Shalom engulf you and all of your family. Continue to be strong and of good courage.
