Not much to update today 7/11:

Gabriel "Gabe" Eisner and Family

The day started out not great bc the neurosurgery team wanted the BP medicine drip turned off without weaning it off. His BP bottomed out which gave him a bad headache and made him throw up. Thankfully the nurse got it back on pretty quickly and his BP came up. However, he felt pretty crummy for a lot of the day because of that. No PT/OT again bc he felt bad.

We had a few good hours with him tonight! So thankful for that. The BP drip has been slowly weaned all day but is still currently on so we are still in ICU.

Not a whole lot happens around hospitals over the weekends so we expect tomorrow to be a pretty quiet day.

Thank you for all the prayers and love, we feel all of it.

Thank you so much for the update. We will pray that Gabriel’s medical team will be filled with God’s wisdom for Gabriel’s care and recovery. I’m praying for the Eisner family and all who are involved in Gabriel’s medical care. During a similar time of medical crisis involving my son, I was blessed by a good friend with the following prayer: It’s called the “I Don’t Know Prayer”. The I don’t know prayer? It’s very spiritual. You just go off somewhere quiet and hidden and you walk right up to the heart of God and you say, “I don’t know. “ I don’t know where to go from here. I don’t know what is happening. I don’t know how to process this. I don’t know what to do with these emotions. I don’t know how to handle this situation. It covers a lot of I don’t knows. And then, with whatever dusty little sand grain of faith you have, you say, ”But You Know”. Gabriel, God created YOU. He will NEVER leave you. Please reach out to Him when it gets tough. But also know you have your family and friends to support you. Lean on them when you feel down. Let them help you with your care. Talk to your parents when you need encouragement. And remember you have an army of prayer warriors on our knees fighting for you. With much love, Carol McCurdy
