Frankie Gilman Needs Our Support Due to Health Challenges and Family Changes. Thank you for being a part of this support team!
Frankie now has prolonged QT (a heart condition that can cause fast, chaotic heartbeats). We're considering using Beta Blockers (medicine that helps slow the heart rate) for her care. Soon, Frankie will have her GJ tube (a feeding tube) changed which has to be done 3 hours away from where the family lives as there are no local hospitals capable. Her seizures have become more frequent, and we're trying to figure out the best way to help her. Her insurance does not cover some important things she needs, like micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) and special therapies.
Frankie's dad, Paul, was laid off because of an injury without the ability to qualify for unemployment.  Her mom Courtney, is already working as a substitute teacher and literacy specialist (someone who helps people learn to read and write) to help with costs, as well as is studying hard to earn her Master's degree in Special Education. We can help by going to the Support Registry. It's an easy place to see all the ways we can lend a hand. We can follow for updates, send meals, give money, or even spread the word to others who can help.
During this time, we're here to help support the family in any way we can.
The Support Registry is a handy tool to see what's needed and offer help. You can follow updates, lend a hand, send meals, give money, or spread the word. Our joint support makes a big difference. Thank you for caring and joining us on this journey with Frankie and her family!
