Frankie's Challenge: Seizures Getting Tougher
We are going through a tough time because Frankie's seizures have been getting worse. She's been taking more medicine and has had her VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation, a therapy using a device to help prevent seizures) adjusted, but it's still hard. Despite all this, those moments when Frankie smiles mean the world to us.
Because of Frankie's health, her mom has had to make big changes. She stepped away from her job as a Literacy Specialist. Now, she is substitute teaching and working hard to finish her Master's degree (an advanced college degree) in Special Education. Frankie's dad is still injured and unable to work at this time. He's focusing on healing and helping manage a ton with Frankie and her brothers.
There is a Support Registry to help Frankie and her family. It's a place where people can lend a hand in many ways, like giving money, sending meals, or just spreading the word. This tool changes with our needs, so it always shows how people can help right when we need it. We really appreciate all the support everyone can give!
