When we started this fundraiser, we knew that an accessible vehicle would make everyday life easier for Fiona.

Now we know it will be even more important than we realized.

At Fiona's recent orthopedic appointment, we learned that her scoliosis has progressed considerably over the past nine months. Because of those changes, we're now preparing for the likelihood that she'll need spinal surgery and hip surgery sooner rather than later.

As parents, we're thinking beyond the surgeries themselves. We're thinking about every doctor's appointment, every follow-up visit, every ride home, and every transfer during her recovery.

Our current vehicle requires us to lift Fiona out of her wheelchair and into a specialized car seat every time we travel. After major orthopedic surgery, those repeated lifts could cause significant discomfort and increase the chance of accidentally bumping or twisting her while she's healing.

A wheelchair-accessible vehicle would allow Fiona to remain in her wheelchair during transportation, minimizing unnecessary transfers and helping keep her as comfortable and safe as possible throughout her recovery.

We can't predict exactly when these surgeries will happen, but we do know we want to be ready when the time comes.

Thank you to every person who has donated, shared our fundraiser, prayed for our family, or encouraged us along the way. Your kindness is helping us prepare not only for today, but for the challenges that lie ahead.

If you feel led to share our fundraiser with your friends, family, or workplace, it truly makes a difference. Every new person who sees Fiona's story brings us one step closer to the accessible vehicle she will need in the months ahead.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. 💜
