The family just took a road trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Allison found the top Neurosurgeon in the country for the gammaknife treatment that was recommended by Children’s Colorado. We met with him and he decided the best option would be to perform the radiation treatment in early August, 4 months out from his AVM rupture. Then all the blood will be fully absorbed and the imaging will be clear so they can target the best spot. We were so encouraged to hear from the doctor that he had performed the same procedure on a 13 year old athlete last year and her AVM is now fully gone. Hers was also double the size of Finn’s. We are so happy that Finn is well on his way to a full recovery!!

His therapy treatments have been progressing very quickly. He is doing single leg balancing and squats on the bosu ball, running, and playing with friends. His right arm is now picking things up, gripping tightly, and arm wrestling his dad ha. He passed all of his speech testing so he will be back to a normal schedule once 8th grade starts.

We are all so proud of him. We have said it so many times but still can’t thank you all enough for the love and support! It has done wonders for our whole family! Much love to everyone, cheers!
