Finn Davis
We spent 5 days last week in Austin working with Dr Lucas, someone who has become one of our favorite people and nothing but encouragement and love for Finn. We are so grateful to have someone who has come alongside us who genuinely cares, is a wealth of knowledge, and always fills us with hope.
At her initial assessment in November many of his muscles didn’t have much response, some of his reflexes were minimally reactive, his eyes were not moving together and his tolerance overall was really low. When she assessed him this time he had made progress in every single area. 🙌🏼
He is getting stronger, more engaged, his eyes have improved significantly and he is able to tolerate a lot more in therapy.
It is always encouraging for us to see his growth but to step back and see that big picture from 3 months ago is very motivating!
We will continue to do daily home treatments from a plan that she gave us until we are able to go see her again. We have slowly invested in tools that help him continue a modified version of what she does in the intensives. It was so nice to see her assessment and all of the improvements because it’s another confirmation that all we are doing is worth it!
The next piece of home equipment we are looking to purchase is this vibe plate.

There are a lot of different vibration plates that are great for various reasons but this one is gentler on his body while also being much better for the cerebellum.
All of the support we raised carried us through the last month going to hyperbaric oxygen therapy and another functional neurology intensive. It is a lot (financially and mentally) but we are beyond grateful that we had the funds to make it happen for our fighter Finn! Thank YOU for being here with us and caring so much for our boy.
