It has been a little while since I’ve updated but we have been busy! On top of chiropractor appointments, cranial sacral therapy, occupational therapy and all of his home therapies Finn got sick and is cutting his first tooth. Thankfully it was a minor cold and we have been able to treat him at home but it just made him extra fussy for a few days and we were getting very little sleep. He’s still working on that tooth but we have turned a corner and he has had better days this week, showing more signs of contentment, working really hard on his strength, and practicing his head/neck control a lot! Our OT came for the first time last week since his intensive (between the holidays and sickness we had a little break) and she noticed a huge difference in Finn since before the intensive. We were able to alter our focus a little and work with him in different ways. It’s always so encouraging to get that outside perspective!
Big news for tomorrow - Finn is having an EEG! We are looking forward to it and dreading it. As long as the results are favorable Finn will be able to come off the seizure medication which will be huge! This is the first “procedure” he has had to do since coming home from the hospital. It will require him to lay down on the bed alone to get all setup which that alone is a lot for him. It’s not a fun process to have the leads placed or have it taken off so we are praying for miraculous peace over him throughout it. Overall it will be a fairly quick outpatient appointment but definitely some unknowns that make us nervous. Please be praying with us and we will be sure to send another update!
