Well sorry guys for the delay in update!! It took some time to actually hear from the neurologist and we got busy with the holidays then Finn got really sick with an upper respiratory illness. 
But we are very thankful because the EEG showed no seizure activity! 
This is obviously good news for his brain but also because we get to wean him off of the seizure medication!
We are working with his neurologist over the next few weeks to safely taper down so be praying for no side effects and for him to remain seizure free.
This is another win in Finn’s life and we give God all the glory!

More wins we are seeing is Finn’s ability to be content outside of our arms and tolerate normal life! It comes in short waves but this is a major change in him. 
When he is in a good mood he loves laying down on a pillow with his sisters talking to him, us showing him toys, and making silly noises. He also has come to love bath time which we never thought we would see the day! All of his therapies are helping regulate his nervous system so much. This improves all of our quality of life!

Some of Finn’s at home therapies were put on hold while he fought sickness. It was a very long and hard week helping him through but we are grateful we were able to support him from home and did not end up in the hospital, as it is very common with kids like Finn to need extra support to get better. He still has a lingering cough and runny nose so pray that completely clears up soon! We have been planning to start hyperbaric oxygen therapy but he cannot have any cold/upper respiratory sickness to do it so we have delayed that to give him more time to get completely better!

We are really excited though to get started with Finn’s treatments and therapies for 2026!! We have a lot planned for him and cannot wait to see the improvements he continues to make. 
Here is what our current plan is:
January 18 - we will start our first round of hyperbaric oxygen therapy!! We will do 20 “dives” then take a break (the cost of treatment alone is $6000 - be praying for provision for this time as Levi’s ability to work will be shortened, we will be driving an hour there and back every day plus an hour long appointment - hello gas and tolls 🤪) 

February 23 - we will be going back to Austin for a week for another functional neurology intensive! We saw incredible change in Finn last time and can’t wait to continue working! ($5500 just for cost of treatment. Levi will take off work this whole week to go with me)

March 16 - we will resume hyperbaric oxygen therapy for another 20 dives! ($6000 treatment)

As you can see just for the three treatments it will be $17,500 not including time off work, travel, etc! We do have about $15,000 set aside from all of our fundraising efforts so far for these treatments so thank you to all of you who continue to make this possible for Finn! We want to be as transparent as possible and for you to know that your money is being put to good work!! 

We will continue our at home plan from the functional neurologist throughout this as well as our weekly home visit with his OT, chiropractic care, and cranial sacral therapy. We are also working with his insurance to try to get started with another therapy program that we would not have to pay out of pocket for. We would love to be able to do a DMI intensive or similar therapy in the next few months as well. 
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy alone can be very beneficial but it also helps Finn to make gains in other therapies so we definitely want to make the most of it!
