On Thursday (6/19) Emmy completed induction (the first phase of treatment)! A bone marrow biopsy was completed and the hope is that we will see no residual disease.  We are still waiting on the results of this, but we were free to go HOME.  It had been 30 days since we’d slept in our own beds.  

  On Saturday, Emmy made the brave decision to cut her hair.  It had started to fall out in significant amounts, so she asked us for a special day at the salon getting it cut and our sweet friend Chelsey made that happen for her.  Emmy’s bravery and confidence blew us away.  This girl is so wise beyond her years. 

Monday (6/30) Emmy will have surgery to place her port.  Until then we are able to just enjoy a little break from treatment and soak in some time as a family before treatment ramps up again 7/7.
