As always, we want to take time to thank anyone and everyone who helps with Elaine's journey through her disability. Elaine has Cerebral Palsy and requires constant 1 on 1 attention. She gets therapies every week, but goes through "intensive therapies " every 4 to 6 months to help give that extra push to help her with what she needs. These therapies normally go 5 days during the week, for 3 weeks,4-5 hours a day.
Friday March 27th was the last day of this round of intensive. The company we used was NAPA in Charlotte NC, and they did not disappoint. Their professionalism and expertise helped Elaine work towards our goals of her being able to sit, stand, crawl, and feeding better. This is a turtle race; which means we will see slow and steady progress that will probably have step backs, alongside (hopefully) leaps forward. Those of us who see her alot can already see improvements, and we have a at home program we were sent home with to tide her over until her next session. We have signed up for more intensives for mid August, and beginning of December.
One last thing, while I always thank everyone, "Mimi" deserves a special shout out during this round. She went way above and beyond to help us almost every day during this round. And trust me, this aint exactly a walk in the park.
