Today was another big milestone as Eiley received 20 million Dezawa MUSE Cells through an IV. πŸ’‰

Out of everything we've done on this trip so far, this was by far the hardest part for her. Every child handles these experiences differently, and Eiley has always been my big feeler. She feels everything so deeply. Even though many of her earliest medical experiences happened when she was just a baby, her body remembers. After years of procedures, hospital stays, and countless needle pokes, moments like today's can bring up a lot of fear for her. So it just makes it especially hard on my mama heart to watch her walk through it. πŸ₯Ή

She was as brave as she could possibly be today. Unfortunately, there were some complications, and they weren't able to use the first IV, so they had to place a second one. As you can imagine, that made an already difficult experience even harder and much longer than expected. I was so proud of her and so relieved when it was finally over. 🀍

After the infusion, she completely crashed and slept for a while. 😴 We've been told it's common for kids to feel tired and fatigued after treatment, and she is definitely feeling it today. We're praying she gets the deep, restorative rest her little body needs as these cells begin to do what we came here believing they can do. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Thank you all for continuing to pray for Eiley, encourage our family, and support us through this journey. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€

Lauren, I can only imagine how emotional this is for everyone! I pray God’s peace and comfort that can only come through him to surround you and Austin and little Ellie! I pray the Lord bless this natural procedure, causing it to touch her body in a supernatural way. We love you all in our praying for you! ❀️
