This picture was taken after my dad was released and returned home in the early hours of September 5. He was finally able to celebrate his birthday with his family and loved ones.
He spent 28 days in ICE detention and we consider ourselves lucky we were able to get him out so soon thanks to everyone who pitched in to help.
My dad was released without his driver's license and work permit and he is working to get those back as soon as possible to be able to work.
Although he has faced many hardships, he is grateful and happy to be back with his family.
We can't thank you enough for all the help. Please stay safe and stay informed.
With gratitude, Dana
