Terrible weekend. Slash went to the vet ER.  The experience with Arise was not very good. When he came home Friday afternoon he was mad at us so he hid under our bed for the day and night. He would not eat so he was brought back to our vet yesterday but after reviewing the files from Arise it was better for Slash to cross the Rainbow Bridge.  The vet was getting choked up talking to Brandon about it.

I had surgery to have my new port put in. Everything went well. Dr. Stone was amazing!! We were home 10 minutes when Brandon called about Slash so Mike went to the vet right away. I FaceTimed with Brandon to say goodbye. I couldn't go I was still loopy from anesthesia. Seeing my son's heartbreak from saying goodbye to his baby was so hard. The vet said he had late stage lymphoma and an UTI.

Saturday afternoon my nephew Ryon's dog Mabel had been sick and I noticed some changes and figured she needed to be seen ASAP. She had pancreatitis (I warned him not to feed her fast food or junk food). Poor Mabel had to stay 2 nights at a different ER vet. I remembered my mom would take her animals to the GQ ER vet. Dana took Ryon and Mabel there. They were awesome, she is now home and doing much better.

I have two heart shaped gauzes on me; one on my port and the other at my neck where they inserted another part of the port. I was in a lot of pain last night. I don't remember this hurting as much as it is the first time.
I'm supposed to leave the covering on until sometime tomorrow but the adhesive makes me itch really badly! Over the last 2 years I get red and itchy if I use a band-aid or they cover the port needle or iv.

This may sound odd but I am looking forward to treatment. I hope and pray I continue to have great results!

It's dinner time so I better sign off for now. Love to all!
