Hey everyone!

Darlene just completed proton radiation treatment number 8 of 33 today.  We saw the Radiation Oncologist after treatment and received some AMAZING news!  THE TUMOR IS RESPONDING!!!

Of course the first thing Darlene wanted to know was if she was going to still have all 33 of the treatments (they are brutal on the body), and yes....she does need to continue all scheduled treatments.  To know, however, that the tumor is already responding is very promising and the Dr is hopeful it will continue to shrink.

She is scheduled for round two of chemotherapy on Friday, as planned.

Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as this battle has not been won, YET, but she has the strength, determination, and positive attitude of an absolute WARRIOR.
