Latest Update from Duke

We just wrapped up our 6th trip to Duke, where Dana received her second injection as part of an investigational clinical trial in her fight against grade 4 Glioblastoma.

This time, we were met with words we’ve been praying for.

Her neuro-oncologist shared that she loves what Dana’s latest MRI looks like - there’s no major reason for concern. Even more encouraging, Dana’s brain has absorbed the immunotoxin beautifully. The fact that she’s had minimal neurological complications (when many patients experience seizures) is a powerful sign that her body is handling this treatment incredibly well.

But what truly stopped us in our tracks was this: her immune response has been remarkably strong - and that is one of the greatest indicators for long-term success.

I asked, as honestly as I could, “How is Dana trending right now?”

Her doctor looked at us and said, candidly:
“Top 1%. Stein strong.”

Let that sink in.
Top 1%.

She is absolutely crushing this.

We know this journey isn’t over, but this was some of the best news we could have possibly hoped for. We are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank God for His continued protection, healing, and the gift of hope when we need it most.

To everyone who has been praying, supporting, and walking alongside us - thank you. We feel it every single day.

If you’ve been asking how you can help, one of the biggest ways right now is by helping us offset the ongoing travel and medical expenses tied to these treatments. If you feel led, you can support us here:

From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for believing with us.

I praise God who is our healer! I'm wrestling with that characteristic of God in my own life right now. I LOVE hearing stories of how God is working! Thank you, Jesus, for hope and walking alongside the Steins. I thank you that you continue to sustain them. Would they continue to trust you.
