Damian Herrera
Hello family, friends, and kind strangers.
Damian has finally come home last week after 61 days inpatient. This was his last treatment that involved high dose chemo and a bone marrow transplant. It was a tough battle with some unexpected complications but our miracle child pulled through! What was only supposed to be to be a month stay ended up being 2 months and thanks to your donations it gave us financial comfort to be present with him through his entire stay.
Damian’s last MRI scan showed no new growth or disease and he is cancer free. Words are not enough to express our joy and gratitude for everyone’s prayers and contributions.
The road ahead is not still bumpy, Damian has not fully recovered from chemo and will continue to need some outpatient support until his bone marrow heals. We are hoping in another month or two he will fully recover and soon after ring the bell.
Love, the Herrera’s
