Wednesday was a big day for Covey! A bed became available at our pediatric rehabilitation facility and he was medically cleared for discharge from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). We said our goodbyes before he and Mom enjoyed a short ride in an ambulance to the facility before starting to settle in.

Thank you for your check-ins, prayers, and words of encouragement. This is the next big step towards getting him home. We don't know yet how long he will be in rehab. Our goal now is to continue preparing for him to re-join us and search for resources to help us obtain at-home nursing care.
