Covey is now on day 6 of his time in rehabilitation, and so far he has progressed quicker than we could have imagined! His respiratory therapists have weaned his oxygen support down to room air (21%). While he still needs the mechanical ventilation due to his higher-than-normal PEEP, this is very encouraging.

Today, we got to try putting him in the stroller to see how he breathes in this different position. Since he's a tough little guy, he handled it amazingly. Soon, we will be bringing him out to the common area where he can watch his sister play with the toys.

While the week is just starting, we feel hopeful that a lot of good can come from it.
