Hi Everyone!

I've gotten several questions about stem cells, and I'd love to share more!

I am in several groups for HIE babies, and I recently had the opportunity to meet with Advocacy Abby, a champion for special needs children and the creator of SupportNow. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The three therapies I hear about most often are stem cells, intensive therapies, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). I am still learning more about HBOT, but many families report that it may help reduce inflammation and support the body's healing processes. It is another expensive and time-consuming treatment, so we are praying and carefully considering each option.

There are several different stem cell options available both in and outside of the United States. We have decided to pursue DeWaza MUSE stem cells because they are being studied for their ability to target damaged cells and support the body's natural healing response. Unfortunately, these cells are not currently available in the United States.

One thing that impressed us about the Stem Cell Institute is that they have an onsite lab and source cells from donated umbilical cords following healthy C-section deliveries.

Our amazing new doctor at Kinactive Kids shared that he often sees the best outcomes when children receive stem cells early and then attend an intensive therapy program about a month later. The idea is that the cells have had time to work, and then therapy can help children build new skills through learning, practice, and repetition.

If you or anyone else would like to learn more about this, please feel free to reach out! I love sharing what I've learned through all of my research. This has definitely become a new passion of mine.

With love,

Courtneyย
