WE GET TO GO HOME THURSDAY!!!!!!!

Stem cell round 2 is almost DONE… we honestly cannot believe it. Going into two back-to-back stem cell transplants once seemed impossible: dividing and conquering, being away all day every day, juggling two other littles, barely seeing my husband for 5–10 minutes per day… admitted 56 out of 60 days. WOW. Cody did it. We did it. And you all did it with us. Thank you for the meals, the prayers, the encouragement, and just being here for us.

Last week, it looked as though Cody might have to stay significantly longer due to side effects from possible TMA (thrombotic microangiopathy), a complication where small blood vessels can become damaged, sometimes affecting kidneys, platelets, and red blood cells...but praise God, he came through on the other side.

We are now in the process of weaning him off TPN and medications, and we will be heading home Thursday morning!
