Cody finished his 4th round of chemo last week, and this one really wiped him out. When I say that, I mean he just seemed more puny than usual: his energy was low, and he needed both blood and platelet transfusions. It also took him longer to bounce back this time. We found out this is the same chemo he will receive during his stem cell treatment, but then it will be 5 days instead of 2 and at a much higher dose. That absolutely breaks my heart. 

We are working on balancing taking care of Cody along side our marriage and our other two boys.  I got to take Easton to the Colt's game (thank you Aunt Cindy), and it was such a JOY to be able to give him that 1:1 time.  We do practice "dating" our kiddos, but it's been a little less since Cody got sick (rightfully so).  Shep is also thriving in Kindergarten, and he is going to start Ju Jitsu soon!!! 

WE HAVE AN URGENT PRAYER REQUEST 🙏🏼 Cody’s next scans are Friday. Please pray specifically that his primary tumor around the adrenal gland has shrunk, especially around the kidney artery and bowel. Please pray that he is responding to treatment, that his bone disease is less, and that the other tumors are smaller. I’m so nervous for this scan, and it’s heavy knowing we are just at the very beginning of this journey. 

We will share an update as soon as we get results. In the meantime, please keep lifting him up in prayer. We are holding on tightly to the truth that God has already won this battle, and that brings us comfort.
