We are asking for HUGE prayers over the next couple of weeks.

Right now, Cody’s MIBG scan and CT scan are scheduled for May 27th (subject to change), and this will be the biggest scan he has had to date. This scan will tell us how his body has responded to 2 stem cell transplants and 12 rounds of radiation.

For those unfamiliar, the MIBG scan is one of the main scans used in neuroblastoma. It is designed to specifically look for neuroblastoma cells throughout the body. This scan can show whether treatment has worked, whether cancer activity is still present, or whether relapse has occurred. In many ways, this scan will give us one of the clearest pictures yet of where Cody truly stands after months and months of treatment.

We will also be back in Cincinnati Monday-Wednesday next week to complete radiation days 10-12.

Many people have also asked about the burden of medical bills. As of now, we are looking at roughly $330,000, and that does NOT include radiation in Cincinnati, upcoming immunotherapy treatments, continued travel, lodging, time away from work/family, and ongoing care costs.

To be honest, the burden is very real.
