Dinutux Round 2 Complete

Hi friends,

We wanted to share a quick update on Cody.  He officially completed Round 2 of Dinutuximab! 💙

This round looked a little different than the first. His biggest struggles were a really severe dry cough that left his whole body sore and significant urinary retention, which was uncomfortable and required close monitoring. Thankfully, he did not experience the significant pain we were expecting. He did have the usual aches and chills, but he also didn't have any withdrawal or dissociation, and he actually ate fairly well throughout treatment. Those are all huge answers to prayer.

He is home now and recovering. He is very, very tired, which is completely expected after this treatment, so we're giving him lots of rest and time to recover before the next round.

His third round is scheduled to begin August 13, and we would be so grateful if you would continue praying for him. Please pray for complete healing, protection from side effects, strength for his little body, and that each round continues to go more smoothly than expected.

I also wanted to put this out there for anyone who has asked how they can help. ❤️

By the time Cody's September and October hospital stays arrive, we'll have a new little Scott baby boy in our family! While we are so excited, it also means those treatment weeks will be a little more challenging to manage as I recover postpartum while traveling back and forth to the hospital.

If anyone is willing to help by providing a meal during those hospital stays, it would bless our family more than you know. Having one less thing to think about would allow me to focus on healing, caring for our newborn, and being present for Cody.
