Christian, the Blouir family
The day started out completely normal: wake up, radiation in the morning, then back to the Ronald McDonald House with plans to just relax until lunch.
But when we walked in, we were told a Cleveland Guardians player, Joey Cantillo, was in the kitchen making lunch for the families! They encouraged us to go say hi, so we did. He was SO incredibly kind. He took a picture with Christian, signed something for him, and then asked if we wanted to go to the game tonight!
You guys…HE GAVE US TICKETS! 🥹⚾️ And it didn’t stop there. We got to go out on the field with two other families from the House before the game!
It was honestly exactly what Christian needed. He’s been pretty down lately, but tonight we got to see the joy, the smiles, and that spark in him again. ❤️ We also got to spend time getting to know the other two families, and it truly was such an amazing night. Also, while we were on the field New Channel 5 interviewed all the kids and they were on at 11❤️.
Please keep praying—not only for Christian, but for ALL of the families here at the Ronald McDonald House. They are incredible families going through things no child and no family should ever have to experience.
But GOD. 🙏🏻❤️
There is something so special about being surrounded by other families who believe in Jesus and understand this journey in a way that few others can. Tonight, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. God knew exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed it.
Please keep praying. Please keep sharing Christian’s story. And please know how much we love and appreciate every single one of you. ❤️🙏🏻
