Yesterday was another very long and emotional day for us.
Hospice came to our home, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. We officially got Christian signed on with hospice, and they are going to help us keep him comfortable, support him, and assist us with whatever we need while caring for him at home.❤️
As the day went on, though, Christian started experiencing more weakness on his right side, increased difficulty swallowing, and his speech continued to worsen. We called the on-call doctor, who advised us to take him to the ER.
Once we got there, they did another CT scan. Thankfully, it came back essentially the same, but because of the changes in his symptoms, the doctors were still concerned and decided to admit him for monitoring and care.
Today has been just as busy. Speech therapy came to see Christian and downgraded his diet to mechanical soft because of his swallowing difficulties. They also ordered a swallow study, which is scheduled to be done early next week. And right now, we are on our way back to Akron hospital from UH in Cleveland, Christian had his first round of radiation this afternoon,  while he did amazing he aas so scared so please pray for him, specially for peace.❤️
Before we left, the doctors told us that we will most likely be in the hospital until at least Monday. So, once again, we are taking things one moment, one day, and one step at a time.
Please, please keep those prayers coming. 🙏🏻❤️ And please share Christian’s story. We truly believe in the power of prayer, and we believe that the more people who know Christian’s name and are praying for him, the more powerful that circle of prayer becomes.
There are no words big enough to express how grateful we are for every prayer, message, share, donation, and every person standing beside our family through this unimaginable time.
We love and appreciate each and every one of you more than you will ever know. Thank you for loving Christian and our family. ❤️🙏🏻
