Never a dull moment in our world lately.

Friday night, Christian started having more pain, and by Saturday morning he was crying out from how intense it had become. Following hospice’s instructions, I gave him all the extra medications we had available, but unfortunately they weren’t touching the pain. Around 11:30 AM, we made the decision to head to the ER. By the time we left, Christian could barely walk because of the pain, and with him slowly losing some of his normal functions, it took two of us to get him safely into the car. 
There are a few possibilities for what could be causing this increase in pain, so right now it’s a lot of waiting and seeing what happens. He was admitted yesterday, but thankfully his pain has decreased some and is much more under control now. They have arranged transportation for Christian to get to radiation tomorrow, so it looks like we’ll be here for another day or two.
