Chris Gage and Family
Easter Sunday BR brought Tess down and we had another visit with her out front of the hospital. She was a little more familiar with Chris in his chair and came running to greet him. We treated the staff that was working to some Easter Goodies. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the winds rolling in.
Two weeks into rehabilitation we have learned a lot about spinal cord injuries and where this will lead Chris in his journey. We are very optimistic about his recovery and healing but wanted to share the education we have benefited from in this process. There are weekly classes and lots of support from the therapy team which we are very grateful for.
The following PDF is not from Roper but is a great site to give you insight to Chris' journey. Although we do not know what is around every corner there is a lot of terminology to understand Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury.

This week we will learn more about what transitioning home may look like. A representative from the power chair company who measured Chris for his 'ride' will be out to survey our home and see what changes we need to make.
Thank you for all of you who have been able to visit, your kind words of encouragement, support, help with the girls and meals. We truly could not be functioning this well without your support.
