Jamieson Family Health Journey
Hi All,
Alex here, Lisa's oldest daughter. My mom had her appointment with the surgeon yesterday and learned more about what is to come. She has been hoping to get an update posted with all the info but of course with a surgery date comes a whole lot of prep and logistics. So for now, I just wanted to share a quick update for those of you that have kindly reached out wanting to update your prayers with the latest info.
Lisa is doing well--her diagnosis and current acute health situation has not changed. The appointment with the surgeon yesterday did provide some more details about potential routes surgery and post-op recovery could take and those were on track with what they knew in some ways and surprising in others. I'll let her explain more when she can post, but suffice it to say that while the overall plan and diagnosis hasn't changed, the deeper understanding of implications is taking a minute to digest. We continue to have confidence in the doctors treating my mom and a lot of peace that God is covering it all. And surgery is officially scheduled. Monday, April 27th.
My parents are so appreciative of the notes and texts and support in so many forms from you all lately. We are praising God for you and trusting in confidence that we will all (you included, dear friend) experience a deeper understanding of His design for community through this journey.
More to come in the next few days from Lisa on the medical and emotional front. I will come back with more on logistics as well.
With love,
Alex
