Larry is much improved today, thanks be to God! Last night he was moved from the ER to the ICU step-down unit where they could monitor him closely. God gave him good rest overnight and is using the antibiotics and prayers to mercifully heal.

Now they are saying he might actually go home tomorrow and that they're going to move him out of ICU within the hour. I need to head home shortly to take over the evening shift with Carly and sort out cancellation logistics for the disability conference (in Nashville) I was supposed to fly out for tomorrow night.

I'm very tired, sad about the blessings being stolen from each of us, delighted for Larry's healing progress, grateful for our family. Thankful also for all your warm thoughts and prayers.

I have been angry, tired and afraid. God is imprinting reassurances on my soul today:

Psalm 5:1-3
O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

Psalm 4:6-8
Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

1 Peter 1:6-9
There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

From Psalm 81 v. 10b Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. And see verse 16 Praying that His love would satisfy you in miraculous ways. May the Lord’s comfort to be very real. And praying for healing, restoration & refreshment. Our love to you. ❤️
