Surreal. Larry and I walked down the hall of the Frauenshuh Cancer Center today for my first appointment with the oncologist. The neuroendocrine tumor on my pancreas (pNET) is considered G1 (grade) and T2 (stage ).
We are grateful and optimistic. If you're going to have cancer, especially on your pancreas, the one I have is pretty much the one you'd want to have. It's slow growing, well contained, positioned on the tail of the pancreas, clearly operable, and likely no other treatment will be needed.
Praise the Lord, my very near future holds the likely promise of complete CURE with a pancreatectomy!
We would appreciate your prayers for God's mercy and that we would trust in his perfect gifts:

We would appreciate your prayers for God's mercy and that we would trust in his perfect gifts:
- Appointments on Friday, February 27th (surgeon in the morning, PET scans in the afternoon)
- Wise and accommodating date for the surgery
- Favorable results from larger biopsies taken when the tumor is removed
- Protection over our spring travel plans
- God's calm over anxiety about coping with surgery and recovery
I'm so grateful to be traveling to visit Erin in San Diego this upcoming Saturday to Thursday. Please pray for my time with Erin and for everyone here at home.
Psalm 23:1
