April 27 2026 – Surgery Update

We (Larry and Alex) wanted to share a quick update following Lisa’s surgery today.

We’ve spoken with the surgeon, and everything went as well as it could have. Somewhat less than 50% of the pancreas was taken, which was expected in order to fully remove the tumor with good margins. The spleen was also removed, which we also knew was a possibility going in and was made necessary due to blood flow anatomy issues.

Lisa is still in the recovery room, and we have not seen her yet—the surgery recovery process could take a couple more hours.

We are very grateful for a smooth surgery and for the care of her medical team. We know full recovery will take time, but we’re thankful to be through this part.

Thank you for the many prayers today—we have truly felt them.

We’ll share more as we’re able.
