Our mom is home!  We are happy to have her home even though there is a tough road ahead of us. Mom is still on a TPN for nutrition since she can't eat. She also still has her G tube to keep the vomiting at bay and we are trying to comfort the best we can. We are currently asking for no visitors as she is very weak and trying to navigate life as it's been thrown at her. We want to say thank you for all the donations, cards, flowers, meals, messages and all the love that has poured in from our friends and family. It has made walking through this journey not feel so alone. 

Since our last update... there has been the word that has gotten around about mom and it's the hated C word.. "Cancer". Yes, our mom is fighting cancer and we recently found out after another CT scan that we may/are looking at multiple Cancers.. The next step is waiting for her Dec 23rd appt to get her PET scan (which has up to this point been canceled multiple times due to her not being well enough to leave the hospital or the fact we were promised one in the hospital and due to the type she needs was not able to) so pray this one gets completed. This will give the doctors a timeline and see how it's progressed and then the direction of treatment. Mom is pretty down right now as anyone would be with her whole world just turned upside down.. prayers during this time for her spirit, the PET scan to be completed, the doctors and nurses that will be around her that they have the knowledge to do what's best and be able to heal and bring comfort to mom.. would all be greatly appreciated. 

With all of these appts, scans, meds, future treatments ect. medical bills are already overwhelming so all your donations to help seriously mean the world to us. 

We have a t-shirt fundraiser that a fellow nurse friend of moms wanted to do for her and it has been circulating online if you would like a t-shirt I'll share it on my page again. It states "Team Caprice" with her cancers design on the ribbon.
