Camilla Can
On Sunday night/Monday Camilla started to show serious signs of sickness.
First thing on Tuesday, we brought her into the pediatrician who said “ depending on your comfort level you can either stay home or take her into the ER and get a chest x-ray.”
It’s a daaaang good thing I went in.
While we were in triage, Camilla’s work of breathing was evaluated to be an 8/10. That’s bad. And then she randomly desatted down to 70. Really bad.
We were rushed into a room already full of drs and nurses and 2 frantic individuals prepping a bed.
They put her on a high flow of 10L, did a couple labs and X-rays, and quickly admitted us.
Camilla has early stages of pneumonia.
Thankfully, we were able to get her in, give her a solid amount of respite y support, and start antibiotics.
Last night, Camilla was discharged.
I’m soooo glad to have her home.
At the same time, we still have a long road ahead of us. Camilla is on 4 different medications to restore her lung health and one of them severely irritates her epilepsy.
We could definitely use your prayers.
