Well… We received some bummer news.

We went to an orthopedics appointment to get Camilla‘s shoulder checked out (It’s been clunking kind of funny), and the appointment went a totally different direction😬

✅Good news: her shoulders doing great.

❌Bad news: Camilla is at high risk for hip dysplasia and will likely need surgery.

The surgery involves drilling a
🔩➕🦴screw through part of the growth plate in her femur to redirect its growth projection and help her femur better connect with her hip joint.

❓What can we do to avoid the surgery????

Our surgeon encouraged us to get Camilla in her stander for 1 to 2 hours a day. (The longest she’s gone is 45min. This is a challenge, but nonetheless a challenge were willing to take on💪🏼💖)

👉🏼Her surgeon also encouraged us to take advantage of ALL therapy options available and to maximize Camilla‘s opportunity to strengthen her bones and muscles.

Doing so what either
A) prevent the surgery from needing to happen
Or
B) greatly improve her recovery experience if we have to do the surgery.

When I told our orthopedic surgeon  that we are fundraising to get Camilla into DMI therapy, he was ecstatic!!!😆🙌🏼🎊

🕊️The timing of this fundraiser is undoubtably ✨heavenly inspired✨
Thank you so much for helping us make this life changing therapy possible for Camilla. It’s going to bless her life in so many ways.

We’ve raised  44% of the necessary funds for her first intensive👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
We just need 53 more people to donate $50 to make this happen for Camila!

🥂Here’s to all the good things to come, because we have no quit, and God is always good!

Love you!
