Hello!! It has been far too long since I have posted any updates.

Lots of things going on. We were able to get 2 of Camis procedures done on 05/28. We should have results from that next week. We are still working with TCH on rescheduling the surgery to replace the screws in her hips, second set of ear tubes, adenoid removal, and sedated ABR. Since the TCH policies are so incredibly strict with anesthesia if we are not able to get things on the books by 06/05, we will be reaching out to an outside TCH ENT, that we have seen in the past for a second opinion, to get on her surgery schedule to get her ears and adenoids taken care of which are one of the main sources of her constantly being sick and being denied by TCH anesthesia.

On April 30 Cami had a seizure at school. This is the second seizure shes ever had. We took her to the TCH ER and they didn't do much. I called her Neurologist while we were in the ER and she set us up for a 72 hour at home EEG. We did that from 05/14-05/17. It was hard and I never want to have to do that at home again. It will take 3-4 weeks for those results.

On 05/02 I found out that Neurosolutions in Austin now has Dezawa MUSE stem cells. These cells have been around for a while 10 years or so but have not been approved for use in the US until recently under the Texas Medical Freedom Act. This is a big deal for families like ours. These specific cells are in the Mesenchymal stem cells however they are not the primary cell. The Dezawa MUSE cells are just MUSE cells. These specific cells have been shown to be the only cell that can turn into a neuron which is amazing for kids with cerebral palsy like Cami or other brain injuries. This combined with the other treatment we are seeking could yield even greater results in cognition, coordination, and balance. I had a telemed with one of the nurse practitioners at Neurosolutions to review and see if Cami is a candidate for these cells on 05/17 and she is. The quote I was given for these cells is 18,100. I have updated our goal to include this amount. I will continue to reduce it if we receive cash/check donations in hand like I have been doing.

We also met with John with the Banner Press on 05/30 and he will be doing a story on Cami in the paper to continue to spread the word.

As always thank you all so much for the continued support.

Praying for strength and healing for Cami and your family. I am a monthly supporter, but it is a drop in the bucket.
