Hi everyone,
We have officially been in Tennessee with Caleb's parents for a week now. We are almost settled in, we have a few more boxes that we have to sort through but we've been taking things one day at a time. It's a little weird having so much time on our hands after everything was happening all at once but it's been refreshing and I'm thankful to the Lord that we get this time together.
Caleb had his first day of outpatient physical therapy on Tuesday and that went well. He had his evaluation of occupational and speech therapy today and was told he will not need them going forward! They believe Caleb has made a lot of progress since being discharged from the hospital. He will start facial therapy on Monday to help with some of the paralysis he has on the left side of his face.
We decided before surgery to move in with his family to help reduce some of the financial strain the surgery and everything after would have on us. Caleb is on short term disability. This means that he receives 60% of his check and the insurance is billed to us separately. We are still waiting for Caleb to receive a check from being on short term. With that being said the price of insurance doesn't change from what we were paying prior to being on short term. If at all possible we would appreciate prayers and financial help in that area. We still have medical bills that are due and we are in the process of applying for financial assistance through the hospital to hopefully lower some of the medical costs.
We are thankful for everyone that has kept us in prayer and has helped us financially. We appreciate all the help our church community, family, and friends have given. We love you all and will continue to keep you updated as time goes on.
