Caleb Soto
We are officially out of the ICU and in the Neuro and Ortho inpatient floor!
Caleb is doing okay. His care team made the decision that Caleb would benefit from inpatient rehab. He will hopefully be transferred there on Friday and stay there 7-10 days. They will work with him 3 times a day for 45 minutes during his stay there. He will relearn how to walk, go up the stairs, and do everyday things before he is discharged.
He had a swallow study done to determine why he hasn't been able to eat. He has very minimal amounts of liquids that aren't going the right way but he's able to cough up the small amount. I'm praying he gets the strength to have solids to help progress his healing. He has some movement on the left side of his face and we are seeing a slow progression, which is to be expected.
Having him in the hospital longer wasn't something we expected but we just pray that he heals quickly so he can come home and be with our babies again.
Please pray for his mind and thoughts. The medication can have side effects of hallucinations and he struggles at times to know what is real and what is a hallucination.
We know God will carry us through.
