Recovery Progress Update-
The new medication that they gave him for phantom itching has changed EVERYTHING.
Let me tell you how good God is! Zech is blowing physical therapy out of the water, hes acting as though he has always had 1 leg. He knew how to do everything with just one leg, he didn't have to be taught and doesn't want help.
He is incredible, when I asked if he was where he needed to be at with this recovery she started laughing and saying "no, not at all, this isn't normal at all, in the best most incredible way. I've never seen anything like it."
He is now just walking all over the hospital with his walker. When he realized his leg was tired he asked for a shoulder ride from Travis and obviously got it.
Its so encouraging and uplifting seeing him like this. And we know this is high point and that there will be low points too, but there is nothing like this feeling right now. Knowing your son has already started accepting it and is learning the differences he's having to make to love this life.
Today gave so much hope
