Zechariah is doing amazing all things considered. Because of the nature of the accident, we do not wish to share details other than it was a tragic accident.
Surgery went well, the team spent about an hour and a half cleaning the wound and felt confident enough to stitch him up instead of leaving it open just in case.
He will have a prosthetic from just below the knee down on his right leg. Zech is in overall good spirits, hes trying to understand it and its not understandable.
He is more than stable, no infection, no fever, no more continuous iv drips, we are able to take him in a wheelchair down around the hospital once he's feeling more up to it. He's in some pain but not horribly. He is trying to figure out why he can't walk like he used to and misses his other foot. It's heart wrenching to hear your baby say these things.
My husband, kids, and I are working through some hard tornados of emotions but we have our feet planted on the rock that is GREATER than us. We know who holds the future, and we've put Zech's life in God's hands. Only God can help in a time like this and we are overwhelmed by the body of Christ. Shocked, in awe, speechless, humbled, so beyond grateful at the amount of love we feel.
Zechariah will have a testimony from this, he will rise above this, God will use it for His glory, and we will do everything in our power to help him along this arduous journey. Thank you so much, for your prayers, they truly help all of our hearts more than you will ever know.
