Zechariah spiked a tiny fever yesterday but they feel that he is still safe to be discharged! Zech-a-roo will be able to be reunited with his siblings. He is so excited!!!! (Today fever is being monitored as it has spiked more than comfort. Prayers for no infection AND he can still go home)
Hes so capable and if we thought this could slow him down....nope, he does whatever he wants, just a little differently now. He's in such high spirits, no sadness at all. We watched him go through all the stages of grief and hes at acceptance already. Im sure there will be more times where he's frustrated and angry or sad but its not here yet so we're focusing on today.
He got the first stage of his robot leg, and he is unbelievably happy. Make sure if you see him you tell him its awesome! He lights up the halls of the hospital with his shining smile and remote control car every kid he sees he asks if they want to try to drive it, and some adults even he is still the sweetest boy in the world, this didnt change him
We have no delusions about how hard this is going to be, its still earth shattering, but we are finding the joy and beauty in life still, and its not as hard as youd think. Zechariah doesnt believe his life is over, so there is SOOO much peace in that.
Praise God for his resilience and the strength that courses through this boy by the grace of God. Thank you so much for your prayers and help- it means the world to us.
